<p>Valentijnsdag is natuurlijk gewoon een stom, commercieel verzinsel, dus daar
doen we niet aan. Kom in plaats daarvan lekker twee vet onromantische films
kijken in Resistor, in speciale samenwerking met BUTFF (B-Movies, Underground &amp;
Trash). Veel beter toch!</p>

<p>Na een brute aanval door een ijscoman wordt punkmeisje Candy de drager van een
mutantenbaby. Terwijl haar lichaam langzaam maar onontkoombaar verandert in
zoet en onweerstaanbaar ijs, verdwijnt haar menselijkheid in de ogen van de
mannen in haar omgeving. Ze zien haar niet langer als een persoon van vlees en
bloed, maar als een object: iets dat geconsumeerd, toegeëigend en opgegeten
moet worden. Wat volgt is een groteske, confronterende en tegelijk messcherpe
nachtmerrie waarin lichamelijke horror en maatschappijkritiek hand in hand
gaan.</p>
<p>Deze heerlijk bizarre, totaal onsubtiele en compromisloze feministische
trash-film van Becca Kozak werd op 3 januari met luid enthousiasme ontvangen
tijdens het WinterBUT Film Festival in Breda. En terecht; dit is zo’n film die
je niet één keer ziet, maar móét delen. Daarom vertonen we Sugar Rot opnieuw in
Resistor, voor iedereen die ‘m gemist heeft of simpelweg nog een keer wil
ondergaan. Verwacht een overdosis uitzinnige, ronduit smerige trash vol gore,
absurdisme en smaakvolle excessen. Trash die met trots het keurmerk van John
Waters, de enige echte Pope of Trash, zou dragen. Maar laat je niet misleiden:
onder alle rotzooi, smeltende lichamen en shock schuilt een scherpe en
relevante feministische boodschap over macht, objectivering en onze westerse
patriarchale samenleving.</p>

<p>Terwijl de spanning in de grote stad tot het kookpunt stijgt voor het Omniball
Kampioenschap, begint skelet-pizzabezorger Boney nietsvermoedend aan zijn
dienst. Wat volgt is een waanzinnige nachtelijke bezorgronde waarin de
realiteit steeds verder ontspoort. De film is volledig geanimeerd vanuit
Boney’s perspectief en bestaat uit één enkel, onafgebroken shot. De kijker zit
letterlijk vast in zijn schedel terwijl Boney van adres naar adres rijdt
waarbij elke stop vreemder, absurder en hilarischer is dan de vorige.</p>
<p>Deze heerlijk bizarre en eigenzinnige animatiefilm is volledig gemaakt door
Dusty Sanders, gewoon op zijn laptop. Duizenden uren werk, pure DIY-energie, en
alle stemmen ingesproken door vrienden. Het resultaat is een hyper-creatieve
koortsdroom die balanceert tussen videogame logica, underground animatie en
totale chaos. Big City Pizza beleefde zijn wereldpremière op het WinterBUT Film
Festival in Breda, waar het publiek uitzinnig reageerde. En wat een geluk: we
mogen dit unieke pareltje nu nóg een keer vertonen in Resistor.</p>
<p>Voorafgaand aan de screening zal Dusty Sanders zelf iets vertellen over zijn
proces. Verwacht een persoonlijke en intieme blik achter de schermen van een
film die volledig uit passie, doorzettingsvermogen en verbeeldingskracht is
ontstaan.</p>
<p>Big City Pizza is een zeldzame mix van technische bravoure, absurde humor en
pure underground vibes. Een film die je niet alleen kijkt, maar ondergaat, en
die gegarandeerd beter smaakt dan de pizza’s die Boney bezorgt.</p>

<p>Modder are returning to Resistor to present their new album "Destroying
Ourselves For A Place In The Sun" with support coming by industrial hip-hop
artist CCHHRRIISSTTOODD and Haarlem's post-sludgers Afgrond!</p>

<p>Modder is a five-piece sludge and doom band from Ghent, Belgium.</p>
<p>With riffs designed to break your neck, supported by thunderous basslines,
grooving drums, industrial samples and synthesizers, they create a unique sound
within the sludge genre. Since fall 2021, Modder has been playing live at
venues and festivals around the Benelux. With their latest album 'The Great
Liberation Through Hearing' (2024) under their belt, Modder continues to
impress with their sonic chaos. All with one goal in mind: to crush every stage
by blasting their riffs at the highest volume.</p>

<h2>CCHHRRIISSTTOODD (BE)</h2>
<p>CCHHRRIISSTTOODD (pronounced “Christ O.D.” with a stutter) is the solo project
of Ghent-based tattoo-artist-turned-musician Berry Bleck. His distinctive beats
provide a bed for eclectic lyrics covering topics ranging from his struggles
with depression and apathy to dreamlike descriptions of drug-fueled psychedelic
trips.</p>
<p>A multidisciplinary artist, Bleck meticulously curates the project’s aesthetic
himself, incorporating pieces of his own artwork and distinct style into each
release. Constantly shifting between two worlds — the physical and the fantasy
— CCHHRRIISSTTOODD has proved to be an undoubtedly unique blend of industrial
hip-hop, rap, witch house, and even rave. Live, his shows incorporate even more
of this duality than ever: he draws his energy from the crowd, his mood
shifting from euphoria to downright fury, each word dripping with intent to
deliver a convincing performance.</p>

<p>Vile and earthshaking Post-Sludge/Doom Metal from Haarlem. Originally formed as
an instrumental three-piece in a former abbattoir, AFGROND really came together
when their vocalist joined. Creating high volume, low tuned riffs combined with
growling dutch vocals, the Haarlem based band released their debut album
Verdronken Hemelen (Drowned Heavens) on 21 March 2025 via Geertruida Records.
Inspired by the likes of Tesa, ISIS, Amenra, Ufomammut etc, AFGROND will guide
you down into the abyss that awaits all.</p>
